Introduction

“CEO-in-Training” is a 12-week course based on a gamified simulation offering participants the opportunity to manage a company operating in the competitive frozen sliced apple industry with responsibility for every aspect of the business and its success.

The program is based on its Founder’s 30+ years of business, finance and leadership experience in investment management, real estate, business services, consumer products, food production and hospitality in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

“CEO in Training” is a virtual program hosted on Google Classroom with sessions held weekly for 3 hours on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm with a review session on Tuesdays from 11am to noon.

The cost of the program is $2,499. The next session commences on September 23, 2021.

Simulation: Participants will familiarize themselves with the Frozen Apple Industry and Simulation Rules of the Road, design their own processing facility, fund it through a combination of debt and equity, bid against each other to purchase raw apples from markets around the country, determine their finished product cost, develop a staffing plan, set compensation levels, schedule production, manage inventory, and bid against other participants for customer contracts.

Financial Model: Participants will receive step by step instruction on developing an integrated financial model including projected income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and their respective drivers and assumptions. Instruction in general accounting principles, loan amortization schedules, break even analysis, ratio analysis, net present value IRR calculations, and ROA, ROI and ROE calculations will be covered.

General Instruction: Participants will also receive instruction on a wide range of general business topics related to each phase of the simulation. Topics include macro economics, capital markets, costing methods, interest rate construction, currencies, risk analysis, the time value of money, net present value, Internal Rate of Return calculations, the business cycle and a general overview of bankruptcy.
